All Arrangements For Lok Sabha Elections Completed: Vikas Raj

Hyderabad, May 1 (Maxim News): Chief electoral Officer of Telangana Vikas Raj said that all arrangements have been completed to conduct the Lok Sabha elections in a peaceful manner.

Speaking to the media persons, Vikas Raj said that 35,808 polling stations have been set up in the Telangana state to enable 3.32 crore people to exercise their right to vote. He revealed that while a total of 525 people are contesting in the Lok sabha elections, 285 of them are contesting as independents.

It has been revealed that the least 12 people are contesting in Adilabad, the maximum 45 people are contesting in Secunderabad. He said that in some places two or three ballots are being used. In seven places, three EVMs will have to be used. He said that two EVMs will have to be used in 9 seats. Vikas Raj said that one EVM would be enough in place of Adilabad Lok Sabha, he said, the Election Commission is sending some additional EVMs. (Maxim News)
