BJP leader Abdul Hamid Nazar shot dead

A Bharatiya Janata Party leader was attacked in Budgam in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday morning.

The incident took place in Om Pora area when BJP leader Abdul Hamid Nazar was on his way to the morning walk this morning. An unidentified person opened fire on him and the victim was rushed to Sri Maharaja Harising Hospital, a police official said.

Hamid, 38, was the BJP district president. This is the third attack on BJP leaders in the last five days. It is learned that a sarpanch was brutally killed in Kwajigund in south Kashmir recently. Later, another leader, Sajjad Ahmed, was shot dead outside his home and died on the way to hospital. And then another sarpanch named Arif was seriously injured in the terrorist attack.
