BJP national president Amit Shah asserted that BJP would make Telangana a model State in the country in five years, if voted to power. He took pot-shots at TRS supremi K Chandrasekhar Rao and AICC president Rahul Gandhi while addressing a poll meeting.
Shah was critical of the TRS government for not utilizing funds released by the BJP-led NDA government, and said that Rs 2.30 lakh crore was sanctioned to Telangana in different forms. He also criticized the party for not observing September 17 as liberation day. He alleged that no party including the newly floated TJS had the guts to celebrate it except for BJP.
