BRS To Protest Against Center Allegation Of Diverting MGNREGA Funds

Hyderabad, Dec 22 (Maxim News): In view of the Central government stating that the Telangana government has diverted the funds of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, the BRS working president and Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development K.Tarak Rama Rao called its party cadre to stage demonstrations in all district headquarters across the state on December 23.

He asked farmers to protest against the BJP-led Union government to explain how the construction of crop drying platforms in Telangana under the scheme could be termed against norms when it was justified to construct fish drying platforms in other states.

KTR alleged that BJP is acting against Telangana with discrimination despite the State government taking up many farmer welfare programs. He claimed that Telangana is the first state to construct drying platforms for the benefit of farmers. (Maxim News)
