Chenab Bridge set to be world’s highest railway bridge

The Chenab Bridge in Jammu and Kashmir will be the highest railway arch bridge in the world at 359 meters, (1,178 ft), even taller than the Eifel Tower. In year 2016-17 26 percent of work has been completed out of total 63.51 percent.

About 550 locals have been employed in various categories through this project.

The bridge is expected to be completed by December 2018.

Chenab Bridge will have widest span of Indian broad gauge railway network in the country.
