The Congress today refused to comment on remarks by its senior leader Digvijay Singh who alleged that the Telangana Police were encouraging Muslim youths to become a part of the ISIS modules.
Addressing reporters here, AICC senior spokesperson Anand Sharma, when asked for the party’s reaction on Mr Singh’s remark, said, ”I have not seen the website of the Telangana Police. Not have I seen the remarks made by Mr Digvijay Singh. So I cannot make any comment on the matter.’
‘Mr Singh stirred a controversy when he alleged that the Telangana Police was encouraging Muslim youths to become a part of the ISIS modules.
In a series of tweets, Mr Singh said, ”The Telangana Police has set up a bogus ISIS site which is radicalising Muslim Youths and encouraging them to become ISIS Modules.”It was on their information that MP Police arrested the accused who were responsible for the bomb blast in train in Shajapur district of MP.
