Congress protests against TSPSC paper leak, burns effigy of CM KCR

Hyderabad, March 19: Hundreds of Congress activists, led by Hyderabad DCC President Sameer Waliullah, staged a protest at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday, demanding stern action against those responsible for the TSPSC paper leak. They also burnt an effigy of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and raised slogans against the BRS Government.

TPCC General Secretaries Bollu Kishan and Uzma Shakir, Advocate Mujeebullah Shareef, Hyderabad Minorities Dept Chairman Arshad Sheikh, Anand Rao, Irfan Quadri, Hyder Jaffery, Dilawar Hussain, Aslam Shareef, Irfan Quadri, Askar Ali Baig, Shakeel Dayyani, Yousuf Danish, Vinay, Venkatesh, Suresh Babu, Sultan Mirza, Zubair Banaja, Mir Asad Ali and other senior leaders participated in the protest.

Speaking to media persons on the occasion, Sameer Waliullah said that the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) paper leak and cancellation of three exams have shattered the dreams of thousands of candidates. He highlighted that the candidates had put in months of hard work to crack the exams, expecting to secure a government job. However, the criminal negligence of TSPSC and the lethargic attitude of the KCR Government led to the leakage of question papers, resulting in the hard work of lakhs of students going in vain.

Sameer Waliullah asserted that the Chief Minister should have sacked all the concerned ministers and demanded the entire board of TSPSC to step down from their posts. However, Minister K. Tarakarama Rao triggered a blame game with opposition parties to divert attention. He accused the State Government of trying to cover up the case to protect the real culprits. He demanded that the guilty be punished, regardless of their political affiliation.

The Hyderabad DCC President criticized the Chief Minister for not showing any concern for the pain being experienced by jobless youth. He alleged that KCR and his family have been looting Telangana and selling off its assets and resources. By failing to prevent the leakage of question papers in many exams, he allowed the sale of government jobs through the paper leak. He demanded the resignation of CM KCR and Minister KTR and a probe through a sitting judge of the High Court.

Sameer Waliullah highlighted that the leakage of question papers has caused immense mental agony to the candidates, and the State Government should compensate them for their losses. He further demanded the President of India’s intervention to sack the TSPSC Chairman and all members and replace them with efficient people.

He also condemned the suicide of a Group-1 aspirant, Naveen, from Sricilla, and termed it “institutional murder.” He demanded that all those responsible for the leakage be booked for Naveen’s murder. (Maxim News)
