Delhi, June 14: A couple seeking divorce for nearly five years reunited unexpectedly during a court hearing in Delhi after deciding to withdraw their separation and continue their marriage.
Saurabh and Shikha married in 2020. However, differences reportedly emerged within a short period after their wedding, leading them to file for divorce and continue legal proceedings in family court over several years.
During the prolonged legal process, Shikha’s family reportedly faced financial difficulties. According to reports, her father suffered a heart attack and was initially admitted to a government hospital due to financial constraints.
After learning about the situation, Saurabh reportedly arranged treatment at a private hospital in Gurugram and bore the medical expenses.
Shikha’s father later recovered following treatment.
At a recent court hearing, the judge asked both parties whether they still wanted to proceed with the divorce. According to reports, Shikha tore up the divorce documents she had brought to court and embraced her husband.
The couple then informed the court that they no longer wished to separate and had decided to continue their life together.
The incident has drawn attention on social media, with many users discussing the unexpected turn in the long running legal dispute.
