Hyderabad, July 29: Hyderabad rains traffic snarls disrupted normal life across the city for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, with heavy congestion reported on major roads, including the IT Corridor. Persistent showers, waterlogging and ongoing infrastructure works caused long delays during peak hours.
Motorists reported slow moving traffic across several key routes. Public transport services also witnessed delays as rain continued through the day.
Traffic remained severely affected in HiTechCity, Gachibowli, Madhapur, the Financial District, IKEA Junction, Kondapur, Kothaguda Junction, Hafeezpet and Miyapur. In several locations, commuters remained stranded in traffic for two to three hours.
Meanwhile, vehicle movement slowed further near IIIT Junction and Khajaguda Junction in Gachibowli due to ongoing flyover and underpass construction. Water stagnation on the roads added to commuters’ difficulties.
