By signing the first file pertaining to construction of Anantapur Express Highway, the new government led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has indicated that construction works related to the capital city of Amaravati would continue.
The chief minister urged the Centre to take steps to grant permission for the road project. The proposed Amaravati–Anantapur Express Highway is envisaged to be developed as Greenfield Access Controlled Expressway with 6/4 lane configuration.
