Jana Greets Congress Victors, Says People Started Hating KCR

Hyderabad, May 25 (Maxim News): Former CLP leader K. Jana Reddy on Saturday said the people in the State have given a surprising mandate in the just concluded Lok Sabha elections. He said the people had confined the ruling TRS party, which boasted of winning 16 MP seats, to a single digit number. He congratulated all the winning Congress leaders in the State while noting that the party had lost Chevalla MP seat by a thin margin of votes.

Speaking to mediapersons here today, Jana Reddy said the people had expressed their anger against the “dictatorial” rule of the TRS party and added that the very fact of dictatorial rule had led to an overwhelming support to the Congress party in the State. Jana Reddy extended his greetings on the grand victory of YCP Chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh State.

He urged mediapersons to write news items about him after ascertaining them weather they are right or wrong. He made it clear that he was not expecting the Huzurnagar Assembly ticket while noting that he was a leader with credibility. He also made it clear that he never went after any kind of post or cabinet berth. He claimed that he did not contest the elections despite the fact that the party leaders like Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi asked him to contest. He made it clear that he would not contest the byelection from Hururnagar Assembly Seat. He said the people of the State were observing the anti-democratic acts of the ruling TRS party like inducement of Opposition party MLAs into the ruling TRS party. He also said it was not good for any political party to indulge in such acts while noting that he would also think on the issue of contesting in the 2023 Assembly elections.

Replying to a question, Jana Reddy said while the people of Uttar Pradesh extended their support to Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati led grand alliance, the people in the entire country rejected the grand alliance as all the members of the grand alliance wanted to become the PM. He said it wound have been better had the Congress party led the grand alliance. (Maxim News)
