Hyderabad, June 13: BRS working president K T Rama Rao criticised the Congress on Friday and alleged that positions in the party were being influenced by money, referring to recent remarks attributed to senior Congress leader Shabbir Ali.
Speaking at a party workers’ meeting in Vemulawada constituency, KTR claimed Shabbir Ali had openly stated that positions in the Congress were being obtained through payments. KTR said those remarks reflected internal issues within the party.
He further referred to earlier comments attributed to Congress leader Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy and alleged that key posts within the party had become transactional.
KTR Criticises Congress Leadership
KTR also commented on the rejection of Congress leader Meenakshi Natarajan’s Rajya Sabha nomination and linked the issue to internal political differences within the Congress.
Referring to demolition drives under HYDRA and Musi projects, KTR alleged that actions taken by the government were affecting poor families and creating dissatisfaction.
He questioned whether internal political disputes had influenced recent developments and criticised the state leadership over governance and party management.
The Congress party had not issued an immediate response to KTR’s remarks at the time of reporting.
