During questioning, police found a firearm in the pocket of Siddiqui, a resident of Hyderabad’s Old City. The weapon was seized for verification.
After examining the firearm and related documents, police confirmed that the weapon was covered by a valid licence.
However, investigators found that the mall’s security personnel had allegedly failed to conduct proper screening before allowing the man to enter the premises with the firearm.
Based on the preliminary findings, police registered a case against the Lulu Mall management for alleged negligence. An investigation is underway to determine whether security protocols were violated.
Police have not reported any injuries in the parking lot dispute, and further inquiries into the incident are continuing.
