Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao called on PM Modi to ensure that the Supreme Court is appraised of how its recent guidelines “are punching holes in the SC/ST Atrocities Prevention Act.”
Chandrashekhar Rao, condemning the attacks on Dalits in different parts of the country during the Bharat Bandh on Monday, said the Centre should take a sympathetic view on the agitation by Dalits. “It should take immediate steps to restore their faith in the government by assuring that it would stand by them,” he said.
