Hyderabad, April 28 (Maxim News): Civil Supplies Commissioner Stephen Ravindra has clarified that there is no shortage of petrol and diesel in Telangana. He said that there is enough stock available in the state for about 70 days.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, he said that it seems that some petrol pumps have temporarily run out of stock due to people buying more petrol and diesel than they need out of fear. Stephen Ravindra explained that monitoring shows that sales are going on more than the daily sales despite petrol pumps putting up ‘no stock’ boards.
He said that people are buying fuel in large quantities due to the fear of price hike after the Bengal elections. He said that traders and consumers have been buying diesel in large quantities to reduce losses due to the increase in industrial diesel prices last week. He assured me that this problem will be completely resolved by tonight. Civil Supplies Commissioner Stephen Ravindra said that the situation in the border districts of AP is being continuously monitored. (Maxim News)
