Rs. 13.7 Lakh Cr For Interest-Free Loans To States

Delhi/Hyderabad, Feb 1 (Maxim News): Union Minister for Finance Nirmala Sitharaman has said that the interest-free loan scheme for states is being extended for another year. She said that the Center has allocated Rs. 13.7 lakh crore for the interest-free loan scheme to the states.

She said that funds of Rs. 2.4 lakh crores has been allocated to Railways, compared to 2013-14 it budget for railways has been increased by 9 times. Rs. 10 thousand crores annually under special funds for the development of urban infrastructure, Rs. 79 thousand crores for PM Awas Yojana. Rs. 75 thousand crores for the one hundred key infrastructure projects. The Center has allocated a total of Rs. 10 lakh crore for capital expenditure said Nirmala Sitharaman. (Maxim News)
