Lucknow/Hyderabad, june 17 (Maxim News): At a time when there is a debate on the possibility of political reunifications and defections in West Bengal and Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh Minister and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SPBP) chief Om Prakash Rajbhar has dropped a bombshell. He said that the Samajwadi Party in UP will soon split. “Forget Maharashtra and West Bengal. The entire Samajwadi Party is ready to join the BJP,” he said on social media ‘X’.
“The Samajwadi Party is going to split. Ram Gopal Yadav has handed over a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Everyone in UP knows who the masterminds are behind the mining scam and the Gomti Riverfront scam. The Samajwadi Party is getting worried as the noose is tightening,” said Rajbhar. He said that Maharashtra and Bengal can be forgotten and the entire Samajwadi Party is ready to join the BJP. Rajbhar’s latest comments have gained significance at a time when the ruling alliance and the opposition alliance are sharpening their strategies for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections due in 2027.
Samajwadi Party’s response
Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party has expressed anger over Rajbhar’s comments that their party will split soon. It said that the BJP and its allies are worried about their party and that Rajbhar is making such statements to save his political existence. The Samajwadi Party spokesperson Sunil Sajan said that the BJP’s strength in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections has been reduced by half and that the BJP will be wiped out from Uttar Pradesh in the 2027 assembly elections. He said that not a single MLA from the SBCP will win this time. He criticized Rajbhar for making provocative comments just for the sake of campaigning.
Rajbhar’s controversial comments in the past too
Rajbhar has previously targeted Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. Rajbhar recently criticized Akhilesh Yadav’s foreign trips on social media ‘X’. He said that if he had visited places like Kashi, Ayodhya, Mathura, Naimisharanyam, Vindhyavasini Temple instead of London and Paris, it would have been beneficial for Uttar Pradesh’s tourism, local traders, shops and people associated with the transport sector.
