Hyderabad, June 15: SIP Abacus honoured 120 alumni who secured more than 90 percent marks in SSC and Intermediate examinations at the SIP Abacus Achievers Summit held on Sunday at TGSRTC Kalabhavan, Bagh Lingampally.
Ms. Uma Swaminathan, National Manager of SIP Abacus, Chennai, inaugurated the summit as chief guest. Mr. Bharath, State Head of SIP Abacus Telangana, along with parents, students and faculty members attended the event.
The students recognised at the summit included several Grand Master Module finishers who had completed advanced Mental Math and Abacus training during their early learning years.
Many award recipients said Mental Math and Abacus training helped improve concentration, memory, confidence and learning ability, which supported their academic performance.

Organisers said the students developed concentration, visualization skills, learning agility and self confidence through structured brain training at a young age.
Several participants demonstrated rapid mental arithmetic and solved complex calculations without calculators, paper or digital devices.
Some students also performed mental calculations while taking part in activities such as sports, dance and martial arts, showcasing focus and multitasking ability.
Addressing the gathering, Uma Swaminathan said Mental Math is emerging as a modern mind sport that helps children build cognitive ability, communication skills and future readiness.
She said parents and educators are increasingly exploring whether concentration, confidence and academic performance can improve through early brain training and whether Mind Sports can offer an alternative to excessive screen exposure.
According to her, educators across the world are recognising Mind Sports as an effective way to strengthen skills not always taught in conventional classrooms.
“Just as athletics trains the body, Mental Math trains the brain,” she said.
Uma Swaminathan also stated that more than 100 SIP alumni secured admissions into IITs this year, highlighting the long term value of disciplined learning and cognitive development.
The summit concluded with live demonstrations by eight current students and alumni, who impressed the audience with speed, accuracy and advanced mental calculation skills.
SIP Abacus is a children’s skill development organisation and a six time Limca Book of Records holder. Over the past two decades, it has trained more than one million children across India through programmes focused on concentration, memory, analytical thinking and learning agility.
