TS Covid-19 Update: 872 Cases, 7 deaths on Monday

Hyderabad: A total of 872 new Covid-19 positive cases, including 713 cases from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), apart from seven fatalities, were reported in Telangana on Monday.

According to the health bulletin issued by the Director of Public Health and Family Welfare, 3,189 samples were tested on Monday and the surge in positive cases continued for the sixth consecutive day with 713 cases getting reported from Hyderabad followed by 107 infections from Rangareddy and 16 cases from Medchal district.

While 12 cases were reported from Sangareddy, there were six from Warangal Rural, five from Mancherial, three each from Kamareddy and Medak, two each from Jangaon, Karimnagar and Mahabubabad and one case from Warangal Urban.

On Monday, authorities said that 274 patients on recovery were discharged, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,005. There are 4,452 active cases in the State. With a cumulative testing of 60,243 samples so far, the State had 8674 Covid-19 positive cases that included 217 deaths while 51,569 samples came negative.
