State government has constructed 364 scientific godowns with a capacity of 18.30 lakh metric tonne, Marketing Minister T Harish Rao said today.
Replying to a question raised by Council members Palla Rajeshwar Reddy and Puranama Satish Kumar, the Minister said in undivided Andhra Pradesh, only 4 lakh metric tonne of godown space was constructed in Telangana region, while after Telangana State was formed, the government constructed an additional 18.30 lakh MT capacity godowns by investing Rs 818.14 crore.
