VH Condemns Assault Of RTC Workers By Police

Hyderabad, Nov.16 (Maxim News): Congress party senior leader V Hanumantha Rao on Saturday condemned the arrest of co- convener of Telangana joint action committee Raji Reddy and other women employees of the corporation. He alleged that two women employees suffered injuries due to the high handedness by the police while arresting them. Rao made these remarks after visiting the arrested employees at pahadi sharif police station.

Speaking on the occasion V Hanumantha Rao said that the arrest of women employees was undemocratic and added that no women employees should be arrested without the presence of women police as per law. He faulted the behaviour of the police with the women employees of the corporation. He alleged that the police were behaving against the RTC employees as if they were Terrorists. He demanded stern action against the police who misbehaved with the workers. (Maxim News)
