Residents allege that the Telangana government machinery undertook the operation secretly, without informing the people.

Telangana State Minority Rights Protection Committee has strongly condemned the act, calling it a grave violation of religious freedom and community rights.

Committee president Abdul Wahab, speaking on behalf of the organization, said, “The demolition of Muslim religious properties is unacceptable. This is not only an attack on our sacred spaces but also a psychological assault on the entire community.”

He further stressed that such actions tear into the fabric of communal harmony in the state. “Attacking places of religious importance in such an inhumane manner amounts to striking at the roots of peace and rights in Telangana,” Wahab added.

He added that the Dargah Hazrat Mahboob Subhani, Chilla, is visited regularly by Revanth Reddy’s family, including his brother, the Shadow Chief Minister.

Community leaders and members of the Telangana State Minority Rights Protection Committee gathered to register their protest.

Wahab said TMRPC will raise awareness among Muslims about the CM’s anti-Muslim actions. He warned that the Congress government would face consequences in upcoming elections.

He also criticized the lack of Muslim representation in the Assembly, Legislative Council, and Cabinet. “No leaders are listening to Muslim problems. No welfare schemes are implemented for minority communities,” he said.

Addressing the Waqf Board, Wahab rejected chairman Syed Azmathullah Hussaini’s statement that miscreants caused the demolition. “This is an attempt to protect the image of a Chief Minister who is anti-Muslim. The chairman is misleading Muslims. If he cannot represent minorities, he should resign,” he said.

Wahab alleged Hussaini visited the site on the CM’s orders. The demolition, he said, was part of a road widening program. Government officials were involved. He called Hussaini’s claim that the CM had no knowledge “malafide intention.”

They emphasized that the issue is not limited to the Muslims of Kodangal but affects the entire community across the state.
