According to the weather update, Hyderabad and surrounding districts are recording minimum temperatures that are lower than normal by three to four degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, daytime conditions are expected to remain pleasant. Officials said temperatures on Wednesday may rise to around 28 degrees Celsius. However, the relief during the day will be short-lived, as Wednesday night and the early hours of Thursday morning are expected to be chilly.

During the period between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, several parts of Hyderabad and its outskirts recorded low minimum temperatures. At certain places in and around the city, temperatures hovered between 8.4 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius. The Patancheru region recorded a minimum temperature of 8 degrees Celsius. Even so, residents continued to experience cold mornings. Many people stepped out with warm clothing, especially during early hours.

In its Wednesday morning forecast, the IMD Hyderabad clearly highlighted the ongoing cold conditions. It stated, “Minimum temperatures are likely to be below normal by 3 degree Celsius and and 4 degree Celsius, at isolated pockets during next 2 days over Telangana”. This forecast suggests that the cold wave conditions will not ease immediately.
