Hyderabad, August 19: A 21 year old man was allegedly beaten to death by his friends after a quarrel during a drinking session in Bandlaguda Jagir.
The victim, Aniket Kumar, worked near the Reverse Skate Villas site in Bandlaguda Jagir. He and the accused came from Bihar.
According to police, Aniket lived with his friends Rohit, Rahul and Ankit Kumar. The four returned to their room after finishing work on Monday night.
They reportedly consumed alcohol at the room. During the session, Aniket and Rohit allegedly argued over a financial dispute.
Rajendranagar police investigate fatal assault
Police said the argument escalated when Rohit allegedly attacked Aniket on the head with an iron rod.
Rahul and Ankit Kumar allegedly joined the assault and attacked Aniket. He suffered serious injuries during the incident.
The injured man was immediately taken to a nearby private hospital. However, he died during treatment on Tuesday.
Rajendranagar police have taken up the investigation into the incident. Officials are making efforts to trace and apprehend the suspects.
Police are also examining the circumstances that led to the quarrel and the subsequent assault. Further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
