No space for child labour in society: CP

Hyderabad, March 30 (Maxim News): On Wednesday, March 30, aiming to support the efforts of Rachakonda Police to eradicate child labour from the society, Pixelstat Organization donated school uniforms to 30 children studying in Marathi medium at Worksite school in Keesara.

Speaking on the occasion, CP Mahesh Bhagwat, IPS, appreciated the team for participating and handing over the uniforms on behalf of Pixelstat to the students and lauded their gesture. The CP said the initiative was started as a follow-up of ‘Operation Smile’ conducted by Rachakonda Police Commissionerate in 2017, aiming at eradicating child labor in all forms and to provide education to children who are working as labor in brick kilns along with their parents migrated from Odisha, Maharashtra and other States. He said education was the best gift to the children which would ultimately make their future brighter. He opined that society should not leave any child uneducated. CP also said children of migrant labor losing their education while their parents working in brick kilns.

“To let the children continue their studies, Rachakonda Commissionerate has started Worksite schools in association with “Aide et Action International” CP said, adding that the children who continue their studies at Worksite schools will be promoted to next class after they return to their native places in June. The CP cited that the Worksite school children are also provided with mid-day meals and commended Medchal- Malkajgiri Collector S. Harish, IAS, for extending his support.

Mahesh Bhagwat welcomed more organizations to come forward to associate with Rachakonda Police in helping the migrant children. He commended the coordinator Suresh Gutta, Keesara SHO Raghuveera Reddy, teacher Sonali and Basheer for participating in the event. (Maxim News)
