APSRTC Officials Say It Was Mistake Religious Tourism Promotion On Its Ticket Rolls

Hyderabad, Aug.23 (Maxim News): The officials of APSRTC have finally reacted on the controversy of promoting religious tourism on its ticket rolls in the temple town of Tirumala.

The officials have said that the tickets which are carrying religious tourism advertisement pertaining to Jerusalem tour, have been mixed up with the actual ticket rolls of the corporation by mistake. They made it clear that it would not indulge in any kind of religious promotion on their ticket rolls.

The issue has turned into a big controversy when some devotees found that the tickets issued to them by the RTC officials had advertisement of Jerusalem tour. They have immediately brought the issue to the notice of the state government and authorities concerned prompting them to initiate action in the issue. The tickets were issued at the Ram Bageecha bus stand counter.

The Manager has said that five such rolls containing the religious tourism advertisement were mixed up with the other rolls causing the disappointment to the devotees. The devotees have urged the authorities to take steps for the prevention of such incidents in the Temple town of the State. (Maxim News)
