Bird Flu Effect: People Queuing Up At Mutton And Fish Shops

Hyderabad, Feb 16 (Maxim News): Chicken shops are empty due to the impact of bird flu. Chicken shops, which are always busy on normal days, are seen empty on Sunday (February 16) due to the bird flu effect.

In the Telugu States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, people are not interested in eating chicken due to the bird flu infection in chickens. Due to this, chicken shops are collapsing due to lack of demand. Demand for mutton and fish shops has increased.

On sunday (February 16), any chicken center in Hyderabad looked empty without customers. People were not looking at chicken due to the bird flue effect. They were burying mutton and fish as alternatives.

Mutton centers and fish markets are seen crowded across Hyderabad city. People, who are afraid to eat chicken due to bird flu, are queuing up at mutton shops. This has led to a huge increase in the price of mutton.

On normal days a kilo of mutton costs Rs. 800 in the city. As people are turning to mutton due to bird flu, meat sellers are cashing in. They are charging more than Rs. 1000 per kilo of mutton.

Even though the prices of chicken were reduced, there were few buyers. On normal days, the price of a kilo chicken was Rs. 240 to Rs. 280. However, due to the bird flu effect, demand has decreased and chicken shop owners have reduced prices.

Currently, the price of a kilo of chicken is being sold at a range of Rs. Rs. 150 to Rs. 170. However, people are not interested in buying chicken. The managers of chicken centers say that with the decrease in chicken sales, even maintenance will become difficult. (Maxim News)
