Speaking in the Assembly, he wondered why the State government was unable to utilize the open land behind the OGH instead of taking up construction work in the stadium. He brought to the notice of the Assembly the protests being organized by the residents opposing the construction of the new OGH.

Raja Singh explained that the stadium was already facing traffic problems and if the OGH was constructed then the traffic woes of the entire area would further compound causing inconvenience to residents. A large number of morning walkers utilize the stadium in the morning and evening for walking.
