Sangareddy, May 30: A tragic incident was reported in Sangareddy district, where a man allegedly killed his wife following a domestic dispute before dying by suicide in a mango orchard near Rampur Thanda.
According to police, the incident occurred on Friday and involved Dasari Anjaiah, 25, and his wife Yadamma, 21, residents of Marepally village. The couple had been married for nearly 11 months and were working in a mango orchard close to their village.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a dispute arose between the couple over an alleged promise related to the purchase of a motorcycle.
Sangareddy Couple Found Dead in Mango Orchard
Police said Yadamma’s parents had reportedly promised to buy a bike for Anjaiah after the marriage. However, the promise remained unfulfilled, which allegedly led to repeated disagreements within the family.
On Friday, an argument reportedly escalated, after which Anjaiah allegedly strangled his wife to death.
Investigators said he later died by suicide by hanging himself in the same mango orchard.
Family members and local residents alerted authorities after discovering the bodies.
The incident sent shockwaves through the village and left both families devastated.
Police Launch Investigation
Police reached the spot, shifted the bodies for postmortem examination, and collected preliminary evidence from the scene.
A case has been registered, and officials have launched a detailed investigation to establish the exact sequence of events and circumstances that led to the deaths.
Authorities said statements from family members and other witnesses are being recorded as part of the probe.
The incident highlights the serious consequences of unresolved domestic disputes and family conflicts.
